Parramatta Eels Legend Tim Mannah Joins Foundation as Ambassador, Ready to Inspire Future Generations and Elevate Community Impact!
Parramatta Eels legend Tim Mannah has been officially appointed as an ambassador for the Parramatta Eels Foundation, a role that will see him play an integral part in supporting the club’s pathways, academy programs, and community initiatives. Mannah, a one-club player who enjoyed an illustrious 233-match career with the Eels from his debut in 2009, is regarded as one of the club’s most beloved figures in Western Sydney. His appointment comes alongside fellow club legend Peter Sterling, who is also an ambassador for the Foundation.
Expressing his excitement and gratitude upon taking on the role, Mannah shared that the Eels hold a special place in his heart. He said, “I’m excited and humbled to be named an ambassador for the Parramatta Eels Foundation. The Eels have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m passionate about giving back to the community that supported me throughout my career. I’m looking forward to watching the Foundation grow and make a lasting difference in the lives of the people who have always been there for me.”
The Foundation’s primary focus will be on nurturing the next generation of players, offering them valuable support through pathways and academy programs. The initiatives will also extend to vital community engagement, with Mannah’s deep connection to the club and its supporters making him the perfect fit for the role. Parramatta Eels CEO, Jim Sarantinos, expressed his confidence in Mannah’s ability to positively impact the Foundation, saying, “Tim’s desire to see the Club succeed and give back to the community will add great value to the Foundation. I’m sure his involvement will help create a lasting legacy for future generations of players.”
This announcement comes at a significant time for the club as it nears the completion of a new state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence, set to become the largest rugby league facility in Australia. This facility will not only serve as a training ground for the Eels but will also showcase the club’s rich history and provide a hub for local community engagement. With Mannah’s commitment to supporting these initiatives, the Parramatta Eels Foundation is poised to make a powerful and enduring impact.
