Bronny James put up career-high numbers as the South Bay Lakers beat the Rip City Remix.

The rookie racked up 31 points in a 122-110 victory, including 13 in the fourth quarter to close out the game.

It was the second 30-plus point showing of the 20-year-old’s short professional career after he hit 30 against the Valley Suns on December 12.

After suffering a cardiac arrest in college, he is just happy to be out on the court.

In the G League, Bronny is averaging 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists for South Bay.

He has played a part in 12 regular season games in the NBA with averages of 0.3 points, 0.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in limited time on court.

The NBA wanted Bronny to take part in some All-Star events in February next month.

Selected on account of his profile, he would have been part of the ‘Rising Stars’ team.

But he turned down the invitation.

It has been reported the NBA also asked the father-son duo to take part in the Skills Competition during the All-Star weekend – again, they both said ‘no’.

LeBron is taking part in his 21st All-Star Game as a starter and could have made history as the first father to play alongside his child as part of the wider festivities.

But the 40-year-old is just delighted to see his son enjoying himself.
