Fijian Brother Duo Reunites for LA 7s Showdown as Kolinisau Unleashes Dynamic New-Look Squad
Fiji Airways Men’s 7s winger Joji Nasova will once again line up alongside his younger brother, Iliavi Masori, as the national team prepares for the HSBC SVNS World Championship in Los Angeles this weekend. The talented siblings previously made headlines when they clinched gold for Fiji at the 2023 Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands, and now they’re set to showcase their chemistry on the global stage once again.
Head Coach Osea Kolinisau has named a strong and youthful squad, featuring some exciting new additions. Among them are Saunaka flyer Lasaro Bogisa and Fijian Drua development squad player Aisea Nawai, who will reunite with fellow Drua prospect Isikeli Basiyalo. Veteran playmaker Sevuloni Mocenacagi will captain the side, supported by experienced campaigners Terio Tamani and Waisea Nacuqu.
The squad also includes Tira Welagi, Kavekini Tanivanuakula, Filipe Sauturaga, Sakiusa Siqila, and Manueli Maisamoa. However, the team will be without key players Joseva Talacolo, Iowane Teba, George Bose, and Jerry Matana due to injury.
In the women’s team, Ilisapeci Delaiwau will captain the Fijiana 7s, with Mariana Talatoka being the only uncapped player, potentially set to make her international debut in Los Angeles.
