Hamilton’s Brother Speaks Out Amid Ferrari Debut at British GP
Lewis Hamilton had a familiar face in his corner at Silverstone this weekend, as his younger brother Nicolas joined him in the Ferrari garage for the first time. Nicolas, who has supported Lewis throughout his career, expressed his excitement at the experience: “So good to be back, supporting big bro! First time for me with @scuderiaferrari, where I have been made to feel so welcome.”
It was a heartwarming moment for the Hamilton family, but the day didn’t quite deliver the results they were hoping for on track. After showing strong pace in practice and topping the timesheets in Q2, Lewis couldn’t quite maintain that momentum in Q3. He ended qualifying in fifth place, narrowly behind George Russell, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and pole-sitter Max Verstappen.
Though slightly disappointed, Hamilton remained upbeat. The seven-time world champion noted that he’s feeling increasingly confident in his Ferrari car, despite not being able to extract more performance in the final qualifying session. “It was frustrating not to gain more time in Q3, especially after such a solid build-up, but the car feels good and I’m optimistic about our chances,” he said.
With the support of Nicolas and a passionate British crowd behind him, Hamilton is still eyeing a strong result in Sunday’s race. Even from P5, the veteran driver believes he can challenge for the win and possibly defend the British Grand Prix title he secured last year with Mercedes.
While this weekend marks a new chapter for Hamilton with Ferrari, the presence of family and his ever-loyal fans adds a sense of familiarity—one he’ll hope to channel into success on home soil.
