Celtics Star Jaylen Brown’s Father Arrested in Las Vegas Stabbing Case
The father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been charged in connection with a violent incident in Las Vegas. According to multiple reports, Quenton M. Brown, 57, was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police say the stabbing occurred Wednesday night following an argument in a parking lot. The dispute reportedly began when Brown allegedly struck another vehicle with his SUV door. As tempers escalated, authorities allege Brown stabbed the other man several times after the victim turned away.
The victim underwent surgery and is currently recovering at a local hospital, officials confirmed.
Brown appeared in court Thursday afternoon, where a judge set his bail bond at $300,000. He is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
In response, Brown’s attorney argued his client acted in self-defense, claiming he was attacked first before resorting to the stabbing.
The case has drawn attention given Quenton Brown’s connection to Jaylen Brown, who has played for the Celtics since being drafted in 2016. A four-time NBA All-Star and the 2024 Finals MVP, Jaylen has established himself as one of the league’s brightest talents.
While the investigation continues, legal proceedings will determine whether Quenton Brown’s actions constitute attempted murder or fall under self-defense as claimed by his legal team.
