In a heartening announcement for the Parramatta Eels, rising star Isaiah Iongi has signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2030 NRL season. The 21-year-old fullback, who has rapidly become a fan favourite, expressed his excitement about continuing his journey with the Eels amid growing speculation about his future.
“I’ve built a great connection with Jason Ryles, the coaching staff, my teammates, and everyone at the Club, and I’m grateful for the faith they’ve shown in me,” Iongi said. “The incredible support from our fans has made my journey even more special. Iongi’s rise to prominence in 2025 has been nothing short of impressive. With eight tries, 12 try assists, and over four tackle busts per game, his dynamic performances have made a significant impact. He also earned representative honours with Tonga during the Pacific Championships and was awarded the Parramatta Eels Rookie of the Year at the Ken Thornett Medal Presentation.
