Broncos Bombshell: Reynolds Confirms Tigers Raid Amid Contract Chaos
Veteran halfback Adam Reynolds has confirmed that the Wests Tigers have reached out to him following the impending departure of young playmaker Lachlan Galvin. With Galvin granted permission to speak with rival clubs, the Tigers are exploring experienced options to bolster their halves—and Reynolds is firmly on their radar.
Off-contract at the end of the 2024 season, the 34-year-old Reynolds remains eager to play on in 2025. While his preference is to stay at the Brisbane Broncos, salary cap pressures have complicated his chances of securing a new deal with the club.
Speaking to Triple M, Reynolds acknowledged the Tigers’ interest but stressed that his heart remains in Brisbane. “Yeah, there’s been interest,” he said. “But I’m trying to secure my future here at the Broncos. Brisbane is home. The kids are happy, the wife is happy — and when your family’s happy, you’ve got to consider that.”
Reynolds, who joined the Broncos from South Sydney in 2022 and captained them to a Grand Final appearance, said he doesn’t want his re-signing to come at the cost of younger teammates. “I certainly don’t want to force anyone out,” he said. “It’s a slow process. You have to look at all the scenarios and make sure it’s the right decision.”
While his future remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Reynolds is weighing his next move carefully, with both loyalty and practicality at the forefront.
