Milwaukee Bucks star Kyle Kuzma recently reacted to his fiancée Winnie Harlow sharing the heartfelt story of his proposal. The 29-year-old forward took a major step in his relationship by proposing to the model and entrepreneur in a beautifully orchestrated moment that left her in tears.

During her guest appearance on Call Her Daddy, Harlow recounted the special occasion, revealing how Kuzma planned every detail to perfection. Harlow admitted that she had no idea what was coming. “I was the last one to know about it,” she said. “Everyone on my whole team was like, ‘Did you not realize that we’ve been avoiding you for the last two weeks?’” The surprise began before they even reached their destination. Kuzma had rented a private jet and decorated it lavishly with roses, chocolates, balloons, and champagne, setting the stage for a magical moment.

As they boarded the jet, Harlow was already emotional, but the real surprise came when Kuzma pulled out a heartfelt poem he had written for her. The model had once jokingly asked Kuzma to send her a love letter, not expecting that he would turn it into one of the most meaningful moments of their relationship.

Kuzma had been meticulously planning the proposal for six months. He even flew in Harlow’s nail technician from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., to ensure she had her nails done before the big moment. The centerpiece of the proposal was an 8.5-carat oval-cut diamond ring, which Kuzma spent three months designing. “I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her—something elegant, timeless, and simplistic,” he told Vogue.

Originally, Kuzma had planned to propose in Turks and Caicos with both their families present, but at the last moment, he decided to keep it intimate and propose on the plane. “I love that he did that. It was so beautiful, so romantic—it was just him and I,” Harlow shared.

Their love story began in 2020, but it almost didn’t happen. In a 2021 interview, Harlow revealed that Kuzma had first messaged her a year earlier, but she never saw it.
