The Brisbane Broncos have reportedly secured the services of outside back Grant Anderson from the Melbourne Storm starting in the 2026 NRL season. Anderson, who emerged as a reliable performer for the Storm in 2024, stepped up admirably in the absence of Xavier Coates, playing 14 games and scoring eight tries.

While the Storm are unwilling to release Anderson before his contract ends in 2025, reports suggest he has signed a two-year deal with the Broncos. The move reflects Brisbane’s strategic planning, but it also raises questions about the future of Selwyn Cobbo, the club’s rising star.

At 25 years old, Anderson, a Fremantle-born utility back with 24 NRL games to his name, offers versatility and depth to Brisbane’s roster.
