The Fijian Drua Blue emerged victorious in a thrilling Sun Bell Drua 10s grand final, defeating Fijian Drua Green 14-5 at Prince Charles Park, Nadi. The competition showcased intense battles, culminating in a high-energy finale.
Drua Blue secured their spot in the final with a gritty 7-0 victory over Malolo Rugby in the semi-finals. On the other side, Drua Green earned their place with a narrow 12-7 win over Nadroga Rugby in an equally tough encounter.
The tournament’s earlier rounds were packed with excitement. In Round 1, Drua Blue kicked off their campaign with a 19-9 win over Yasawa Rugby, while Nadroga edged Lautoka Rugby 12-5. Drua Green showed their strength, cruising past Malolo Rugby 19-0, and Ba Rugby overwhelmed Nadi Rugby 17-0.
Round 2 brought tighter contests, with Drua Blue narrowly beating Nadroga Rugby 5-0, and Lautoka Rugby defeating Yasawa 19-7. Malolo Rugby overcame Ba Rugby 12-0, while Nadi Rugby shocked Drua Green with a stunning 5-0 upset.
Drua Blue’s dominance continued in the final round with a 29-0 thrashing of Lautoka Rugby, as Nadroga defeated Yasawa 22-0. Drua Green closed the round in style, overpowering Ba Rugby 36-0. Malolo and Nadi ended their match in a thrilling 12-all draw.
In the women’s division, Drua Women 1 claimed victory over Drua Women 2, securing a 15-10 win in their second game of a two-round series.
