NFL Legend Aaron Donald Granted Restraining Order After Alleged Stalker Threatens His Family in Chilling Campaign
Former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has filed for a restraining order against a woman he claims has been stalking, harassing, and threatening him and his family for years. The 33-year-old Super Bowl champion submitted the request in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, identifying the woman as Janelle Anwar, who he believes to be between 30 and 40 years old. According to Donald, Anwar has been terrorizing him since 2020 — despite the fact that the two have never met.
In his court filing, Donald described Anwar’s behavior as obsessive and delusional. He alleged that she has sent him unsolicited packages, gifts, and love messages, and even claimed she believed they were married. The situation escalated recently when Anwar reportedly filed a legal dissolution action, demanding $1,500 in monthly support and a $6.5 million “settlement,” further indicating her false belief that she and Donald share a legal bond.
Most disturbingly, Donald revealed that Anwar had threatened the life of his 3-year-old son via Google Chat. He submitted screenshots of her disturbing messages, including a $5 Zelle payment that read, “I love you.”
Fearing for the safety of his wife, children, and brother, Donald described Anwar’s behavior as dangerous and rooted in delusion. A judge quickly responded to the severity of the allegations, granting a temporary restraining order just hours after the filing. The order mandates that Anwar stay at least 100 yards away from Donald and his family, refrain from contacting or harassing them, and prohibits her from possessing any firearms.
