49ers Hit with Hefty Fines After Rough Loss to Dolphins as Playoff Hopes Crash

The NFL has handed down fines to several San Francisco 49ers players following their recent game against the Miami Dolphins, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. Linebacker Fred Warner was penalized $16,883, and defensive tackle Jordan Elliott received an $11,774 fine, both for committing hip-drop tackles. In addition, running back Patrick Taylor was fined $5,861 for executing a low block during the game.

The fines were not limited to the 49ers, as Dolphins safety Jevon Holland also faced a penalty of $11,817 for a similar infraction, involving a low block.

The Dolphins emerged victorious, defeating the 49ers 29-17, which marked San Francisco’s ninth loss of the season. With no hope of making the playoffs, the 49ers will play their final home game of the season against the Detroit Lions on Monday night. They will close out the year in Week 18 with a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, hoping to finish their disappointing season on a positive note.
