Paul Momirovski Calls Time on Rollercoaster Career Spanning Three Nations and One Premiership

Paul Momirovski has officially drawn the curtain on his professional rugby league career, ending a journey that spanned nearly a decade and took him across three continents. The 28-year-old centre announced his retirement on Instagram with a heartfelt message, stating: “That’s a wrap. After years of chasing this dream, it’s time to hang it up. Grateful for every team that took a chance on me, every teammate I’ve had, and all the lessons this game taught me. Thanks for the memories.”

Momirovski’s career was marked by determination, adaptability, and moments of glory. A proud product of Sydney, he played for some of the NRL’s most storied clubs, including the Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Storm, and Wests Tigers. One of the high points of his career came in 2021, when he tasted premiership success with the Penrith Panthers, a triumph that secured his legacy in the league.

After leaving the NRL at the end of 2023, Momirovski ventured to the UK, signing a two-year deal with Leeds Rhinos. Though his stint in the Super League lasted only one season, it allowed the club to manage overseas player quotas and bring in Maika Sivo. Leeds sporting director Ian Blease expressed gratitude for Momirovski’s professionalism during the transition. Despite his shortened stay, the Australian spoke positively about his time in Yorkshire, cherishing the friendships and experiences gained.

Momirovski wrapped up his career with French Elite 1 club FC Lezignan during the 2024/25 winter season.
