Jackie Chan Hails Snooker Legend Ronnie O’Sullivan as His Hero in Star-Studded Showdown
Legendary actor Jackie Chan recently revealed his admiration for snooker icon Ronnie O’Sullivan, calling the seven-time world champion his “hero.” A longtime fan of the sport, Chan surprised O’Sullivan with flowers during an event in Beijing, where both were present—Chan filming nearby and O’Sullivan performing in an exhibition match. “I rushed to the stage when I knew he was there,” Chan recalled.
The two have since formed a friendly connection, with O’Sullivan calling Chan a “lovely guy” and noting that they’d spoken on the phone before finally meeting in person. Their bond deepened during O’Sullivan’s trip to Macau, where Chan helped promote the event. Chan has also shared the snooker table with 1997 world champion Ken Doherty. “We had dinner at a charity event, sang karaoke, then played some snooker. I even showed him a few trick shots,” Doherty said, reflecting on the memorable evening with the martial arts star.
