Luka Drops 45 in Milwaukee, but Lakers’ Slump Continues
On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Milwaukee but couldn’t keep up with the Bucks, falling 126-106. Despite the loss, Luka Dončić delivered a stellar individual performance, finishing with 45 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. He shot an efficient 14-of-27 from the field, including 7-of-13 from beyond the arc, in just 36 minutes of action.
Dončić’s dominance on the offensive end drew widespread attention, with many around the league reacting to his performance. NBA reporter Ryan Ward highlighted how surreal it still feels to see Dončić in a Lakers uniform, tweeting, “Luka for the next decade in LA… STILL A TRIP!!” Meanwhile, Hoop Central noted his fiery competitive spirit, writing, “LUKA IS GOING OFF — and has words with Thanasis Antetokounmpo.”
However, Dončić’s brilliance wasn’t enough to stop the Lakers from extending their losing streak to three games. Now sitting at 40-24 through 64 games, Los Angeles will need to regroup quickly as the playoff race intensifies.
