Trey Hendrickson is heading into the final year of his contract, Ja’Marr Chase has one more season left, and Tee Higgins will become a free agent in March.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of all three players, Burrow is confident the Bengals can keep their core intact.
During a recent Sirius XM interview, the 28-year-old quarterback emphasized his belief in keeping the group together.
“Yeah, we can make it happen. We can make it happen,” Burrow stated. “It just has to be right for everyone involved. I know the players want to make it work, we all want to stay together. I don’t see any reason why it won’t work out, but we’ll see.”
This isn’t the first time Burrow has expressed his desire to keep Chase, Hendrickson, and Higgins in Cincinnati. He shared similar thoughts on Thursday when discussing Chase’s contract situation.
“I don’t know what more he could do to prove himself,” Burrow told ESPN. “We have several guys like that, who have stepped up for us and deserve to be paid… and deserve to be paid what they’re worth.”
