Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry and Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant reunited on Sunday, playing for the same team in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

The former teammates were selected to be on NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star team, Shaq’s OGs, as part of the new format. In their first game of the night, Curry helped Shaq’s OGs move past Candace Parker’s Rising Stars 42-35.

After the win, Curry, Durant and Shaq’s OGs advanced to the All-Star championship game, where they faced Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Charles Barkley’s team, Chuck’s Global Stars. Thanks to a Curry late-game outburst, Shaq’s OGs took home the hardware with a 41-25 win.

For his performance in the All-Star Game, Curry, a four-time NBA champion, was named the 2025 All-Star Game Kobe Bryant Most Valuable Player. All while doing it in front of his home crowd at Chase Center in San Francisco, California,

After NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced Curry as the MVP, Durant can be seen giving his immediate reaction to the news, which included numerous awkward fist pumps.

Through two All-Star games, Curry finished the night with 23 points on 7-of-17 shooting and 6-of-16 from 3-point range, 10 rebounds and two assists. He also became the oldest guard in NBA history to win the All-Star Game MVP.

Durant, in his 15th appearance, totaled only four points on 2-of-9 shooting, five rebounds and three assists. Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden scored the most points on Shaq’s OGs with 28.

Curry and Durant played together on the Warriors for three seasons from 2016-2019. The two helped bring Golden State two titles together, with Durant winning both NBA Finals MVPs. In his final season with the Warriors, both Durant and Klay Thompson suffered season-ending injuries in the championship loss against the Toronto Raptors, ultimately ending the Durant era in the Bay Area.
