Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James saw his four-game streak of NBA appearances snapped against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

He was with the team but did not enter the game. Then, on Friday, he was moved back to the NBA G League for the South Bay Lakers’ game against the Valley Suns.

The 20-year-old proved that his increased role on the NBA roster — over half of his minutes played this season came in that four-game stretch — was no fluke with a dominant performance for South Bay on Friday night.

James’ 28 points, six rebounds and scary poster dunk did plenty of talking. That did not stop his dad, LeBron James, from sounding off on his son’s G League situation on social media.

“Keep building & stacking days,” LeBron wrote on his Instagram story, tagging Bronny and referring to him as a young king.

The motivational message accompanied highlights from South Bay’s 122-104 win. James could re-join the Lakers on Saturday when they take on the Indiana Pacers, but it would be a quick turnaround for the 4 p.m. ET tip-off.

Either way, LeBron sees his son putting in the work, and he was not afraid to share it with his 159 million Instagram followers.

“He goes to work, he goes home, he takes care of his body, he plays his video games, he reads a little bit and then he comes back and does the same thing,” the NBA all-time leading scorer said last month.

“To see him every day grinding and going through the process of trying to become who he wants to become … and doing the things that he wants to do and being able to just take it all in,” James said. “It helps me get some of the minutes and hours and years that I did not have with him because I was playing so much and on the road doing my own thing.”

Los Angeles is on a four-game win streak and has won 10 of its last 12 to move to 30-19 on the season, fifth in the Western Conference. The Lakers are still awaiting Luka Doncic’s debut, which could be as soon as Monday against the Utah Jazz.
