Bulldogs Sign Dynamic Twin Duo Anneka and Leilani Wilson for Inaugural NRLW Season
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the signing of twin sisters Anneka and Leilani Wilson to their inaugural NRLW squad for the 2025 season. As proud local juniors from St. Christopher’s, the Wilson sisters are returning to Belmore, where their rugby league careers first began.
Having previously represented the Bulldogs in both the Tarsha Gale Cup and the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, they will now be key players in the club’s NRLW debut.
Season 2024 was a standout year for the Wilson sisters in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership, where they played pivotal roles for Wentworthville. Leilani’s outstanding performances earned her the title of NSW Player of the Year, a well-deserved recognition for her impact on the field.
Meanwhile, Anneka, playing in the crucial no. 7 jersey, displayed exceptional leadership and skill as she guided Wentworthville to within one game of the Grand Final, solidifying her place as one of the competition’s top talents.
NRLW Head Coach Blake Cavallaro expressed his excitement about reuniting with the Wilson sisters. “I’m really excited to bring both Anneka and Leilani back to the Club for our inaugural NRLW campaign,” he said. With their talent, experience, and strong connection to the Bulldogs community, the Wilson sisters will undoubtedly be an integral part of the team’s journey in the NRLW.
Their return marks a significant milestone in the club’s history as they prepare to compete at the highest level of women’s rugby league.
