From Fan to Partner: Lakers’ Quincy Olivari Nears Landmark Deal with Curry Brand

Los Angeles Lakers two-way guard Quincy Olivari is on the verge of signing a shoe endorsement deal with Stephen Curry’s Curry Brand, according to ESPN sources. The agreement, brokered by Olivari’s agent Darrell Comer of Tandem, has been under negotiation with Curry Brand executives in recent weeks.

Olivari’s journey to this milestone is particularly meaningful, as he grew up idolizing Curry. He once obtained Curry’s autograph as a child and even slept with a No. 30 jersey, cementing his admiration for the Golden State Warriors star. Now, years later, Olivari is set to join Curry’s standalone Under Armour venture, becoming only the second active NBA player to sign with the brand. He follows Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox, whose signature Curry Brand shoe line debuts this Friday.

Olivari earned his spot on the Lakers roster after a strong showing during a non-guaranteed training camp. He has since thrived with the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, averaging 23 points, 6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game this season. His impressive preseason included a standout 22-point performance against Curry’s Warriors on October 18, where he shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-9 from three-point range.
