Snooker Star Jack Lisowski Eyes Hong Kong Residency After Epic Macau Masters Clash

British snooker player Jack Lisowski has hinted at the possibility of following in the footsteps of Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump by taking up residency in Hong Kong. Speaking after his narrow 5-4 loss to O’Sullivan at the Macau Masters, held at Wynn Palace, the world No. 22 revealed his openness to making Hong Kong a future home under the city’s Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, a pathway both O’Sullivan and Trump embraced in recent months.

“Hong Kong is a really nice place, so who knows the future,” Lisowski said. While he currently divides his time between the United Kingdom and Dubai, the idea of adding Hong Kong to the mix is intriguing. “It would be pretty cool if I had the United Kingdom, Dubai, and then Hong Kong as well. I know that’s what Judd’s got now, so maybe I’ll do the same.”

The 33-year-old cited his preference for English-speaking locations and praised Hong Kong for its welcoming community. He expressed admiration for the vibrant culture and the hospitality he experienced during his visit, leaving the door open for a future move. While no immediate decisions are planned, Lisowski’s comments suggest that he might soon join his snooker peers in calling Hong Kong home.
