In stark contrast, Queensland coach Billy Slater faced his own criticism earlier in the series after a rare defeat at Suncorp Stadium — a venue long considered a Maroons stronghold. Instead of crumbling under the pressure, Slater responded by making bold selection changes, which ultimately revitalized his squad and turned the series around.
