Even more concerning is his inefficiency—he’s shooting just 41.7 percent from the field and a dismal 22.7 percent from beyond the arc. For a player known for his defensive presence and stretch-big potential, those numbers fall far short of expectations.
Turner also underwhelmed in the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, posting similar numbers—13 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 1.5 assists on 56 percent shooting from the floor and just 31.8 percent from three-point range.
With free agency looming and Turner reportedly seeking a new deal worth around $30 million per season, the Pacers now find themselves in a difficult position.
