After enduring a three-game losing streak, the Manly Sea Eagles bounced back in emphatic fashion with a much-needed win, marking their first victory away from Brookvale Oval this season. The triumph propelled them into the NRL’s top eight and provided a morale boost after a challenging run.

The Panthers, however, showed signs of life early in the second half, thanks to the brilliance of Nathan Cleary. The star halfback delivered a pinpoint 40-20 kick that shifted momentum dramatically. Within five minutes, Penrith had scored two tries, and Cleary’s sharp sideline conversion narrowed the deficit to just four points at 14-10, threatening a comeback.

But Manly refused to fold. They steadied the ship with a composed penalty goal and then iced the game with two late tries, ultimately securing a convincing win. As one Manly player summed it up: “When you only win two games, you’re going to be down there somewhere,” referring to the pressure that had been building. This result, however, was a statement of intent.
