Savannah James Posts Five-Word Message After Bryce James News
When the Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James 55th overall in the 2024 NBA draft, the franchise made history. Pairing the former USC guard with his father, LeBron James, the Lakers formed the NBA’s first father-son duo.
Making their first appearance together on Oct. 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the James duo has shared the court for 10 total minutes across three games (via NBA stats). Bronny James has spent time in the NBA and G League during his rookie season.
While LA’s father-son duo has been one of the most covered NBA storylines this season, it is not the only big basketball news related to the James family.

On Tuesday, LeBron James’ youngest son, Bryce James, won a CIF Southern Regional Championship with Sierra Canyon High School. Scoring three points in the 74-68 victory over Redondo Union, the 6-foot-6 senior will now head to Golden 1 Center on Friday for the state title game between Sierra Canyon and Stockton Lincoln (h/t Steve Galluzzo of the LA Times).
Reacting to this news with a post on her Instagram story, LeBron James’ wife Savannah James shared a five-word message.
“We goin to the ship,” she exclaimed.

Bryce James has one game remaining in his high school career before preparing for the next step in his basketball journey at Arizona. Announcing his commitment to the Wildcats in an Instagram post on Jan. 1, James decided to go a different route than his older brother who spent one season at USC.
As his father and brother pursue an NBA championship with the Lakers, Bryce James is one win away from a state title.
