Snooker legends Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump have taken opposing stances on the new $1 million bonus for achieving the sport’s first-ever 167 break at the Riyadh Season Championship.

The innovative challenge introduces a golden ball worth 20 points, only available after completing a maximum 147 break, creating a rare opportunity for players to etch their names in history.

World number one Judd Trump, however, is unenthusiastic about the incentive. “If it was $10 million, I’d go all out for it. $1 million is a lot of money, but it wouldn’t really change my life right now,” he remarked, emphasizing his preference to focus on winning frames and the tournament itself.
