Supermodel Winnie Harlow calls partner Kyle Kuzma’s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks ‘a new beginning’
Supermodel and trailblazer Winnie Harlow is in the midst of New York Fashion Week. But, that’s not stopping her from taking time to show some love for her partner, who was recently traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
After the Bucks made an Instagram post, welcoming Kyle Kuzma to Milwaukee, Harlow shared it to her Story and wrote, “A new beginning,” below it with a heart.
The power couple started dating in 2020 after Kuzma slid into Harlow’s Instagram DMs not once, but twice, she previously said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
This week has been quite the whirlwind week for the dynamic duo.
The Bucks made a trade to bring in the Washington Wizards forward in exchange for Milwaukee mainstay Khris Middleton.
Also on Friday, Harlow shared a hilarious video from Bleacher Report’s X, of her beau walking in a puffer jacket that keeps inflating until it gets so big it carries him up, up and away.
“Live look at Kuz pulling up to Milwaukee,” the outlet captioned the clip.
Being from Michigan, we think he’ll be A-OK.
Who is Winnie Harlow?
Harlow, aka Chantelle Brown-Young, is a supermodel, influencer, founder of CAY Skin and an inclusive beauty activist. Harlow has vitiligo, which causes skin to lose its color or pigment.
Years ago, a friend of Harlow encouraged her to pursue modeling and she leveraged social media to do so, the model told CNN.
When “America’s Next Top Model” was casting for a new season, Harlow asked her social media followers to tag Tyra Banks in her photos so that the “ANTM” host would see them. Harlow’s little sister also launched a Facebook page for Harlow, CNN reported. On “Watch What Happens Live,” Tyra Banks told host Andy Cohen that she discovered Winnie Harlow on Instagram.
An “ANTM” show producer ended up reaching out to Harlow and she would go on to place sixth in cycle 21. According to a USA Today report, Harlow drew attention on the show for her stunning complexion and unabashed ownership of her skin condition.
While Harlow previously said she’s grateful to Banks for being the first person of higher status to make her feel like she could model, she doesn’t credit “ANTM” for her success.
Over the years, Harlow has modeled for Desigual, Diesel, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Puma, Steve Madden and David Yurman (with Kuzma), among many other designers. She made history when she became the first model with vitiligo to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Harlow appeared in Beyoncé’s visual album “Lemonade” and several music videos, including Calvin Harris and Sam Smith’s “Promises” and “We Still Don’t Trust You” by Future, Metro Boomin and The Weeknd.
Harlow was previously a judge on the fashion reality TV series, “Making the Cut,” on Amazon Prime Video. She’s made numerous television and commercial appearances, and has graced several major publications.
