Teen Sensation Stan Moody Stuns Champion Kyren Wilson with Crucible Masterclass
In an exhilarating opening session at the iconic Crucible Theatre, 19-year-old Stan Moody has taken a commanding 6-3 lead over defending champion Kyren Wilson in their first-round World Championship match. With Moody just four frames away from a famous victory, he has the chance to become the youngest player to win a match at the Crucible since a 19-year-old Ronnie O’Sullivan in 1995. Moody’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite a recent battle with tonsillitis that saw him hospitalised just before his final qualifying match, he discharged himself against medical advice and went on to defeat China’s Jiang Jun 10-9 in a dramatic decider to secure his spot at the Crucible.
