THE SNOOKER WORLD IS TAKING NOTICE! 🇹🇭🔥 NOPPON SAENGKHAM STORMS INTO CHINA OPEN FINALS!
𝗦𝗔𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗞𝗛𝗔𝗠 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟
Noppon Saengkham is through to the biggest match of his life!
The Thai ace – who is ranked 45th in the world – compiled a STUNNING total clearance of 134 in the deciding frame to reach Sunday’s China Open final.
Noppon Saengkham has produced one of the most remarkable stories of the 2026 China Open, storming into the semi-finals after dismantling a succession of elite English opposition.
The Thai star’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He began with a commanding 6–4 victory over Michael Holt, followed by a ruthless 6–1 win against Elliot Slessor. Then came the major statement: Saengkham defeated world-class contender Judd Trump 6–3 in the last 32.
But he was only getting started.
In the last 16, Saengkham delivered another sensational performance, overcoming Ronnie O’Sullivan 6–4. He then repeated the scoreline against Shaun Murphy in the quarter-finals, securing his place in the final four and guaranteeing himself at least £50,000 in prize money.
Now, the challenge becomes even greater.
According to social media user Richard K, a potential final against Mark Selby could be a completely different proposition. Selby currently holds a dominant 12–3 head-to-head record against Saengkham, and Richard believes that if Saengkham defeats Zhou Yuelong in the semi-final while Selby gets past Stuart Bingham, the final could be heavily one-sided.
“Bloodbath” was the blunt prediction, with Richard tipping Selby to win 10–3 and insisting that “nobody will touch M Selby.”
Yet Saengkham has already proved that predictions can be dangerous.
Few expected him to sweep aside Trump and O’Sullivan before eliminating Murphy, but the Thai star has shown remarkable composure, scoring power and belief throughout the tournament. A meeting with Zhou represents another huge test, but Saengkham will enter it knowing that he has already conquered three of the biggest names in the sport.
With £250,000 awaiting the champion and £100,000 for the runner-up, Saengkham is now just two victories away from an unforgettable China Open triumph. Whatever happens next, his extraordinary run has already announced him as one of the tournament’s biggest stories.
